Lodge rules and regulations

Glamping Kenya Lodge management will highly appreciate your collaboration in these these rules and regulations,

whose aim is to ensure peaceful and safe stay for our Guests.

                                                                                                                                                       §1

1. Lodge rooms are rented for lodge days.

2. A lodge day starts at 1:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and ends at 11:00 a.m. of the following day. Failure to check out by 11:00 p.m. will result in an additional fee for extending a lodge day. A charge for the extension until 4:00 p.m. amounts to 50USD, after 4:00 p.m. the lodge will charge for an additional lodge day.

3. Before check out the guests will be asked to settle their complete bill of all consumptions and any damage caused by the guest or their visitors.

4. Late check out will not be allowed without prior permission of the lodge management.

5. The lodge reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit card upon check-in or collect a fee for the entire stay in the form of a cash deposit.

6. Every evening guests will be asked to pay for all their consumptions or to sign for them and pay before check out.

7. In case the guest fails to appear in the lodge by 6 p.m. of the accommodation day despite making a reservation, the fee for the room shall be charged by the lodge.

                                                                                                                                                       §2

1. The lodge guest cannot hand over a room to third persons, even if the period for which the guest paid has not yet expired.

2. Persons who are not checked in the lodge may stay in a hotel room from 08:00 a.m. till 09:00 p.m. Persons staying in a room after 09:00 p.m. must check in the lodge.

3. The lodge may refuse to accept the guests who grossly violated the Lodge Rules and Regulations during the last stay by damaging the hotel's or guests' property or by inflicting damage on other guests, lodge employees or other persons staying in the hotel or in other way violated the stay of other guests or the functioning of the lodge.

4. Pets are not allowed in the lodge.

                                                                                                                                                      §3

1. The lodge renders services in accordance with its category and standard. Guests are requested to submit any complaints regarding the quality of services at the reception/bar as soon as possible, thus allowing for the lodge immediate reaction.

2. The lodge is obliged to ensure:

A) conditions for full and undisturbed rest of the guest

B) safety of stay and privacy. Every guest provides its consent to processing their personal information for the purposes of checking in and placing its data in the lodge database. The guest has the right to review and correct its personal data.

C) professional and polite service in respect of all services rendered by the lodge

D) cleaning of the room and performing necessary repairs of equipment during the guest’s absence or in their presence if so requested by the guest

E) in case of any defects which could not be repaired, the lodge shall make every effort to, where possible, change the room or in any other way redress the inconvenience.

                                                                                                                                                       §4

1. At the guest's request, the lodge renders the following free-of-charge services:

A) information concerning the guest's stay and travel

B) wake-up call at a time specified

C) storage of money and valuable belongings during the stay

D) storage of luggage; the lodge may refuse to store luggage at times other than during the guest's stay at the lodge or if the belongings are not of a personal kind

E) access to a swimming pool during hours of availability and pursuant to Rules and Regulations applicable.

                                                                                                                                                       §5

1. Any valuables left at the property are the guest’s sole responsibility. Neither Glamping Kenya nor the staff can be held responsible for any loss or damage of personal property.

The lodge has the right to refuse to store money, securities and valuable belongings, especially valuables and items of scientific or artistic value if they pose a threat to safety or their value exceeds the standard of the lodge or if they take up too much space.

2. The guest should notify the lodge reception/bar immediately upon noticing any damage.

                                                                                                                                                       §6

1. The silent period starts at 9:00 p.m. and ends at 08:00 a.m. of the following day. We appreciate not disturbing the peace of other guests.

2. Conduct of guests and persons using services of the lodge should not disturb the peaceful stay of other guests. The hotel may refuse to render services to a person violating the above rule.

                                                                                                                                                       §7

1. When leaving the room, guests are expected to properly close the tent zippers and switch off all the lights and bathroom heater. Not switching off the lights can result in draining or damaging the tent’s battery of the solar system.

2. The lodge guest bears financial liability for damaging or destroying the lodge equipment and technical devices due to their fault or due to the fault of their visitors.

3. Room heaters, water heaters, hairdryers, electric irons and other similar devices which are not a part of the lodge room equipment are not allowed to be used inside the rooms due to the fire safety and overheating the solar system of the room.

4. The electricity in all tents runs on solar energy. Each tent has its own solar system for electricity.

This means that the sockets in the tent bedrooms can only be used for charging batteries, laptops, etc...

5. The use of high-consumption appliances such as water heaters, hairdryers, heaters, etc…. is not permitted in the rooms as they can damage the batteries of the solar system.

6. Smoking in lodge rooms, terrace, bar, restaurant, bar and reception hall is prohibited. Violation of the prohibition is subject to a fine of USD 150.

7. It is prohibited to bring in or consume foods or drinks bought outside the lodge.

8. Although it is not a problem to brush your teeth with the tap water, we provide a jug of +- 1/2 l per person of drinking water every evening. Additional drinking water can be purchased at any time in our bar.

                                                                                                                                                        §8

1. Our swimming pool is open from 9:00 am till 18:00 pm, however it is possible that due to exceptional maintenance our pool will be temporarily closed for safety reasons.

2. There is no lifeguard, so swimming is at your own risk.

3. Diving into the pool or running at the pool area is not allowed due to safety reasons.

4. Children under age of 12 must always be accompanied by an adult or parent at the pool area.

5. Music is not allowed at the pool area, kindly respect the peace of other guests.

6. No outside food or drinks allowed to bring in at the lodge or pool area.

                                                                                                                                                       §9

1. Glamping Kenya offers the choice of full board or bed and breakfast.

2. In bed and breakfast the breakfast is included between 8am and 10 am. The guests can make their choice from the buffet and à la carte choice including one fruit juice and one cup of coffee, tea, chocolate milk or milk. Cappucino or others + kes 100.

3. In full board you can enjoy the same breakfast + (packed) Lunch and dinner. The choice for lunch and dinner can be made from our extensive à la carte menu. Always starter + main + dessert.

4. Lunch is served from 12:00 to 2:00 PM

    Dinner from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

If you would like to be served outside these hours, this is possible if you notify us well in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements to serve you properly.

- If you would like an early or late breakfast or lunch, or take away, please notify us no later than the day before in the afternoon.

- If you would like an early or late dinner, please let us know at the latest before noon on the same day.

5. NO drinks are included in the arrangements.

Personal belongings left by guests in the lodge upon leaving can be sent to the address indicated by the guest at their expense.

If no instructions are left, belongings will be stored by the lodge for 3 months.

 

By making a reservation you expressly agree to the above rules and regulations and do hereby agree to the application of the above rules and regulations.
